i put the banner up a few days ago. just thought i would give a little back story. i am a big fan of kevin, any interaction although brief has been a pleasure. with the past 12 months worth of bad news in the snow world(shane and c.r.), it is refreshing to hear about someone making huge improvements. even though there is quite a long road ahead for kevin and his family, it is good that there is any road at all.
my first photo i ever had published was of kevin at the 2006 open. i took the photo having no idea what i was doing, not that i have much more of an idea these days, but i was truly clueless with a brand new canon 10d in hand. it will always be something that i am proud of and always give me a connection with kevin.
besides all of that, anyone who knows me knows that i have suffered a few head injuries myself. nothing as large and as serious as kevin, but they are still something i deal with on a regular basis. it is a scary reality to choosing the activities we choose. one minute it is pure bliss followed quickly by the polar opposite. your head is something that never heals, you cannot put a cast on it, have a quick outpatient surgery and clear up, it is something that is with you for the long haul and something that our medical community still knows very little about.
in the end i want to wish my best to kevin and all the others we don't know who every year end up in similar predicaments for doing something they love. may you all have a speedy recovery.

the greatest
the greatest post card i have ever received. on top of that, it is without doubt in the top ten as far as things i have ever received in the mail... i have to get myself to germany. they publish my photos, the girls ride around topless on old burton boards with hard boots and it is the home of audi... what a great country, my bags are packed.
big thanks to who else but kirk for making my day with this one.

red bull rust belt snow trails
shot the photos for the red bull rust belt finals held at snow trails in mansfield, oh. take a look below, get a feel, enjoy...
tony, he finished second... check out kevin getting all 7D on him.
another shot of tony, he must have been riding well... or maybe i "like him like him"
this is the winner, don't remember his name. great part about this photo, a mere split second after it was taken he crashed into me and knocked me off the top of the bus. that momentum carried me off the hood of the bus. however, just before i came off the hood, i was able to jump out avoiding the fire pit below. no joke, it was straight indiana jones shit...
