one of my all time good friends is celebrating the end of his bachelor status this weekend. seems they are dropping like flies these days... at any rate, as part of the celebration we ventured to one of his (as well as my own) favorite places to see a show, the beachland ballroom. besides being, in my/our opinion one of the great places to see live music in cleveland, the beachland also has some of the great neon in cleveland... being as it is one of my most favorite things to take pictures of, i was stoked last night. here are a few, make sure to check out the beachland if you have never been, it is good times.

red bull high school big tune

wanted to post a few photos from the RBHSBT for last week. fun event, had no idea about these kids producing beats, sounded just as professional as any beats i have heard on the radio or tv. kanye west had better stop running his mouth and get to work because the kids in cleveland are without a doubt doing just that, working, perfecting, making things happen. make sure you get out to the event next time, it was really great to see talented local high school kids get to preform and exhibit their craft to an audience. check out a few pics below and check out the pics at red bull photofiles, they will be under high school big tune.

ba-ba-bennie and the jets...

so it might not be bowie, but thanks to the man who keeps me employed, i went to elton john and billy joel on sat night. regardless of what my musical preferences might be, there is no denying these two play a mean piano and have a shit ton of hits... got to hear bennie and the jets, tiny dancer and piano man... and that makes for some good times.

cleveland waves

game won

went to the cavs playoff game last night. good times for certain. came away with the big game 1 win, cleveland is a pretty depressing place sometimes so it is fun to see everyone excited about something, even if it is just a basketball game.

this is labron, the most famous person in cleveland and cleveland's biggest export.

natural gas is cheap these days

after the cavs won, they sprinkled pixie dust over everyone, i am sad to report it made none of us jump as high or shoot as well as lebron

it just made a mess...

oh, almost forgot, lebron was named MVP of the NBA not just cleveland. this resulted in a slight spike in the city's GDP!
