good music

good weekend for good live music. went to what is quickly becoming my favorite place to see a show, the beachland ballroom on saturday night to see drummer.

drummer is made up of a 5 guys who are all drummers or who have been drummers for other bands. most notably the band was formed by black keys drummer Pat Carney. a group made up of five drummers, in this band only one of those drummers actually gets to do any drumming... a great band, really talented musicians, the kind of people that make you wonder what you have done with your life... i mean i can barely play the kazoo.

the first opening band was pretty amazing too. royal bangs was an unexpected treat for me and i would recommend checking them out if the opportunity arises.

without a doubt if you ever are in cleveland, make sure to check out what the beachland has going on. that night it was $10 to get in the door. three bands where playing in the ballroom and two bands where playing in the tavern. do the math...$2 a band, that is like a mcdonalds cheeseburger per band and think how much you save by avoiding the transfat and cholesterol that comes with a death patty from McD's.

the beachland ballroom, saving lives.
