red bull gripped canvas auction

had fun shooting the auction portion of the red bull gripped canvas. a bunch of boards painted by a bunch of kids, auctioned off for the cleveland clinic children's hospital, how could you go wrong?
i ended up in the auction excitement and walking away with a few things. most excited about my new skeleton deck painted by 11 year old josh miller. it proudly sits above my desk now as i type and is without a doubt my new favorite deck.

feels good to be part of such a positive event.

kids

shot some pics for a friend for his daughter's first birthday. i like this one the best because makes me feel like a kid. no need to stop and pose. no, can't be bothered. i have a good friend(in this case a stuffed dog) i am on my way and having fun... man it is good to be a kid.

wtf friday #38

can't remember if i have posted this one, but it has resurfaced because this fine officer is back on duty and the kid's mothers' case against ol' officer rivieri has been dismissed... nevertheless, nothing quite as rad as seeing a fat cop in bike shorts rough up a skinny 14 year old...

p.swayz

"If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love."

he will always be one of my favorites.
"swayze would go" forever

first cover

pretty stoked, big thanks to jordie for hitting something when i am pretty sure she really didn't want to... and then getting up and doing it again.

brownstown

so i am not the biggest browns fan, but i do enjoy going to a game and taking in the sites... i was lucky enough to get the call from kirk and invited to the home opener on sunday. lots to see at a browns game check out some of what i saw below.

this is where you enter, notice it is broken down by gender, this is because you have to get padded down for weapons and other contraband before you enter. always a sign that you are in a fun place.

this was advertised many times over by the announcer as the "largest browns flag in the world". pretty exciting! small footnote, the people of mumbai india are quite disappointed as they have been unseated as the holders of the world's largest browns flag title. my condolences.

here is lebron james enjoying the game, notice the hands clapping which actually created a small spike in the local economy as 74% of cleveland's GDP is based on lebron.

unfortunately the town's GDP is not based on this guy. he saw i had a camera and asked if i would take a photo of him... glad i did, otherwise i would have missed this gem.

plenty of orange and brown for everyone

red bull gripped canvas

the red bull gripped canvas show opened last night to amazing reception at the pop shop gallery. rightfully so as the decks were stunning, so stoked to see what the local art community can do. make sure to get over and check out the show, it will be up until the 26th of this month and is worth a visit. plus the pop shop is a fun place, so it is worth a visit all on it's own. check out the photos of the opening below. enjoy
