j'aime montreal

back to montreal for work work, not photo work. pretty much all business this trip but i did manage to snap a shot of the holiday lights in the city.

we also had a fun dinner out at a place called l'entrecote st. jean place was real interesting because it only served one thing. a sirloin steak with french fries. now you can get real crazy and add the soup and salad as well as desert, or for a lighter fare you can just get the salad. nevertheless, if you eat at l'entrecote st.jean you will be having the sirloin steak.

bottom line is they do one meal and they do it well.

back in cleveland, 31 and raining buckets of gloom. gray, gray, gray... figured i would post a few more shots from colorado to at least make myself feel better... i hope it works.

after leaving this to come to that, i am putting myself on suicide watch.





this was the only shot that was taken before the cops came in breck... it is of kara's roommate, for the life of me i cannot remember her name... but you get the idea of what we were trying to accomplish.

jumping off walls in nice mountain towns

drove down to breck to meet up with kara rennie to shoot some pics of her doing some of her snowboard trickery. unfortunately, we also meet up with the summit county sheriff. apparently towing snowboards behind cars on state highways into private property is not legal. so kara came up to vail and we found some walls to jump off of, or i should say kara jumped, i just laid in the snow...

again unfortunately for kara, i did not take the best of photos... but she killed it and we ended up riding some great snow on the hill.

run to the hills

back in the hills of colorado. spending a few days in vail riding the good stuff. first day here, first day riding of the season and we had something like 14" of fresh snow... not a bad way to start out the season, but also a day that makes you wish you worked out a bit harder on those legs.

coming home from the cavs game tonight, saw that the agora sign was aglow. i have loved this sign since i moved in and wanted to take a picture of it forever because i love neon signs... turns out the cavs win, coupled with a few beers made tonight the night...

75 years ago today the final workings were put onto the 21st amendment repealing the 19th amendment, which is better known as prohibition. pretty fantastic that the 75th anniversary fell on a friday... this evening, think of it as doing your civic duty to have a few pops... it is america's way of saying "treat yourself".

back when i was a park guy pushing around a spork on the jumps and jibs of northstar, i was lucky enough to be involved with a lot of amazing movies. mack dawg, standard, forum, lots of fun. however, my hands down most favorite thing that i was a part of was the DC movie. they came to northstar with a amazing crew, lots of fun toys(read snowmobiles, big trucks, etc), and they also brought todd richards and travis parker who were the funniest duo i have bared witness to. everything was a joke and everything was fun, one piece suits, zinc oxide abuse, high fives and even the alter egos of those two, bumps magillicutty and susch mogulman... it was awesome. at any rate, todd is now old enough and has been around long enough to get a bio pic(didn't shawn get one when he was 20?). whatever, this one looks like a good time, be sure to check it out and check out the trailer below in the meantime.
