skating public square with police, thumbs down

the city of cleveland in their infinite wisdom, has pulled the plug on the public square event, so if you happen to go skate down there next saturday chances are you might have the feel of cold hard steel on the wrists as the cops can be very, well copy...

nevertheless, the event goes on and is now going to be held at a secret warehouse location which is currently being filled with ramps, rails and whatever other odds and ends we can find. keep posted as the location will be officially announced on wed. until then treat yourself to this pic, which is of said warehouse.

pss still feel free to meet at west side skate, martini, or ohio surf and skate to get a ride on the red bull bus to and from the event. that way you can save gas and watch one of the 45 tvs they have on that rig...

live music

one of my favorite things... doesn't even have to be a type of music i am really into, but just to see someone get up in front of others and put it out there, i have a lot of respect for that. the town fryer is the restaurant next door to where i live. it is located in the agora which has quite a musical history as far as the live scene goes. the town fryer is doing it's part then some to keep that scene alive. stop in any monday night and hear some live music, it is just that easy. while you are there you can enjoy some cheap beers and some of the best fried food north of the mason dixon. treat yourself.
